Radio Topics for June 2nd
June 2nd, 2008 General, Radio

June is here and to celebrate Mike has left me alone this week. Apparently having a real job entails commitments and the like. I am on air from 7 AM to 9 AM on 93.1fm in Ottawa, www.ckcufm.com for everyone else across this far flung continent or, alternatively, for those at work. This week we have two interviews lined up. At 8:10 I’ll be talking with Marcelle Kimberley, the events manager for Doors Open Ottawa which is occurring this week. At 8:30 I will be talking with Councilor Clive Doucet about his initiative for Clean Air Day which is taking place Wednesday. Finally, since I’m all by myself we’ll be having a summer concert primer on the show featuring music from a variety of acts coming to Ottawa this summer.

As usual:

BC polygamists in Bountiful come under investigation again.

Hearings start over Mark Steyn’s article which appeared in Macleans Magazine.

Motion calls on Harper’s government to do what the refugee board refused to do, let American war resistors stay in Canada.

And the transit plan finally passes council.

Alan Rock is appointed as president of the University of Ottawa.

Apparently gun clubs and shooting ranges are the real problem in Toronto, or at least so says David Miller.
